Entry 1 · OEM & private label

OEM & private label classroom teaching supplies your brand on boards, rugs, charts and flexible seating

Launch or extend a classroom supplies line under your own brand without running factories. SlateForge handles platform selection, sampling, finishes, logo application, packaging and production across dry erase boards, magnetic whiteboards, whiteboard easels, bulletin boards and borders, classroom rugs, pocket charts, wobble stools and classroom storage — you own the brand, the specifications you approve, the claims and the customer.

  • Existing platforms or new designs per category
  • Materials, finishes, logos and packaging to your spec
  • Third-party testing planned per SKU — buyer-specified
  • No school certification or rating claims made on your behalf

How an OEM program runs

  1. Brief: products, price points, markets, channels (school bid, teaching-aid distributor, stationery wholesale, marketplace), quantities and any standards, tests or documents your customers require.
  2. Platform & plan: we propose existing designs or new tooling, materials and options, list which SKUs need third-party testing, and quote by SKU including MOQ and lead time.
  3. Samples: stock samples first, then pre-production samples with your finish, logo and packaging; dimensions and function are verified on samples.
  4. Testing (where needed): third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve, on production samples — available on request and quoted per SKU.
  5. Production & inspection: mass production matched to the approved samples, with checks and pre-shipment inspection; third-party inspection welcome.
  6. Shipping: FOB or other terms as agreed; mixed orders across categories possible.

What can be customized

Dry erase boards: size, surface, frame. Magnetic whiteboards: steel gauge, coating. Whiteboard easels: style, height, surface. Bulletin boards: cork or fabric, frame. Borders: artwork, die-cut, pack. Classroom rugs: design, fiber, size. Pocket charts: layout, colors, kits. Wobble stools: height, color. Classroom storage: bin types and colors.

  • Printed packaging and header cards — borders, pocket charts, small goods.
  • Woven or printed care labels — rugs and soft seating.
  • Molded-in or pad-printed marks — plastic stools and storage bins.
  • Packaging — color and kraft cartons, polybags, roll wraps, barcodes and marketplace labels.

Details per method are in the specs guide.

Claims, honestly

We do not display school certification marks, fire ratings, child-safety test data, magnetic strength figures, load ratings, factory statistics or customer cases on this site. Where your channel needs testing or documentation, it is buyer-specified, arranged on request and quoted per SKU. We print the content your team approves; labeling and claims remain the brand owner’s responsibility. We never use other brands’ names, logos or licensed characters on your products without your rights documentation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for private label?

MOQ is quoted per SKU and depends on how much is customized — an existing design with your logo starts lower than new tooling, custom print or printed retail boxes.

Can I mix categories in one order?

Yes. Mixed orders across boards, rugs, charts, seating and storage are common; each SKU is quoted separately.

Who is responsible for testing and claims?

The brand owner decides which claims go on the product and which tests back them. We build verification samples, arrange third-party testing on request and print the content your team approves.

How strong is the magnetic surface on your whiteboards?

We do not publish magnetic pull-force figures or “magnetic grade” ratings on this site. Magnetic performance depends on the steel sheet gauge, coating and magnet type your program uses. You specify the magnet type and pull you need for classroom use; we build pre-production samples to that spec and you verify them — in-house or through third-party testing arranged on request. Any magnetic claim on your packaging or listing must come from that verification and is the brand owner’s claim. See the magnetic vs non-magnetic section of our specs guide.

Are classroom rugs and seating fire-rated or child-safe certified?

We do not claim fire ratings, flammability certifications, phthalate-free status, lead content results or any child-safety test data on this site. School bids and retail channels often require specific tests (for example flammability, heavy metals or phthalates). Tell us which tests your buyer or bid documents name; third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve is available on request and quoted per SKU. Labels and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Are your classroom products certified for schools?

We do not claim any school certification, fire rating, child-safety standard, listing or test result on this site — no ASTM, CPSIA, EN 71, CAL 117, UL, CE, RoHS, REACH or similar marks. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, a specific market and a specific sales channel: tell us the destination market, the channel (school district bid, teaching-aid distributor, stationery wholesale, e-commerce) and the standard, test or document your buyer asks for, and the quotation sets out how it will be handled — typically third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve, on production samples, available on request and quoted per SKU. See the compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
